Dedicated to sustainable architecture

Greendale Passivhaus Studio

Conker Conservation is an award winning practice specialising in designing energy efficient ecological buildings since 1999. A family business run by two chartered building surveyors based in Canterbury, Kent, covering the south east region.

Certified Passivhaus Designers

We believe we are Kent’s leading Passivhaus specialists, having worked on Passivhaus projects since 2006.  We were the first to use Passivhaus software to design a new house in Kent in 2007, which was recognised in the 2010 Kent Design Awards.  We also designed the UK’s first light industrial Passivhaus building.

Why the name Conker?  The fruit of the horse chestnut is a beautiful object, protected by its casing, rather like people are protected by a buildings exterior envelope.

Why Conservation?  We are determined to conserve the earth’s natural resources where we can through sustainable construction.
